Hi! My name is Emma Pahl and I am honored to serve as Chi Omega's Songfest Chair for 2025. We are so grateful that you are taking time to learn more about our philanthropy event!
Songfest exists to serve a cause greater than ourselves and impact communities nationwide. Since 1978, Chi Omega Songfest has been known for creating lasting friendship and unity across all areas of Texas A&M, making a large place feel pretty small! Beyond the stage, Songfest fosters a deep sense of community, leadership, and purpose among its participants.
Songfest 2024 raised $272,301 for our philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as 28 other philanthropies represented by the participating acts. We are so proud to host an event that truly makes a difference and impacts the lives of so many people across Texas.

The Largest Greek Philanthropy Event in Texas!
WHAT IS SONGFEST?
Simply put, Songfest is a two-night, three-show stage performance and silent auction in which groups of Texas A&M students compete to win money for their philanthropies. Performances involve carefully choreographed dance numbers, costumes, props, stage effects, soundtracks, and passionate spirits to create 14 incredibly unique performances.
Performing in the event are 28 different student organizations from around Texas A&M University's campus, each paired with another organization to perform a unique and eye-catching performance to win money for their philanthropy. Organizing and running the event is a carefully selected team of active Chi Omegas with tons of help from our eager and driven chapter!

THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
At Texas A&M Chi Omega, service is truly the heart of our chapter! Nationally, Chi Omega supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a philanthropy that all Chi Omega chapters share. Make-A-Wish believes that wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening illnesses. This simple but powerful belief inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and drives everything they do. We have absolutely loved getting to work with this incredible foundation to be able to offer these kids the chance to make lasting memories with their families and forget about their illnesses even for just a moment. We fundraise because no matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. One of our favorite aspects of working with Make-A-Wish is that we are able to be very hands on and meet the girls we donate wishes to each semester! Every Fall and Spring semester we throw a wish reveal party for the recipients of our wish. This Spring, we had the chance to host a wish reveal party for Kayci, who got to go to Disney World! The joy of wish reveal days is joy that we will never forget.
In order to support our philanthropies, Chi Omega hosts the largest philanthropy event on Texas A&M’s campus, called Songfest. Songfest is a high-energy dance competition composed of 30 organizations on campus who compete to earn money for their own philanthropies. Last year, Songfest was able to raise over $281,000, which was distributed to the 30 organizations, and our own philanthropy, Make-A-Wish.
